China Middle School is located near scenic China Lake in Central Maine and serves the children, families, and residents in the town of China. Our school has students in grades 5 8. We are part of the RSU #18 School District, which encompasses the towns of Belgrade, China, Oakland, Rome, and Sidney, Maine. Welcome to our website!

School Based Oral Health Program
We are pleased to inform you that China School students have the opportunity to participate in a school based Oral Health Program. Alissa Wade, RHD, PHS, of Prevention Works Inc., a licensed registered dental hygienist, provides dental cleanings, oral assessments, fluoride treatments, sealants, proper oral hygiene instructions and appropriate referrals. The target population is children without dental insurance or with MaineCare as their primary source of insurance. Many children lack access to dental care as a result of the cost or the shortage of dentists who participate with MaineCare. The services provided are free to MaineCare participants (MaineCare will be billed directly), and children without insurance have the opportunity to participate by self-paying. Parents will need to sign and return a permission form, stating they understand that services provided do not take the place of a dentist, they are giving consent for preventative dental hygiene services, and their child will be missing approximately 25 minutes of class twice a year. If concerns are detected, recommendations will be made. If you are interested in this service for your child, you may download a permission form from the school website or request one be sent home with your child.
