Welcome to the RSU 18 Parent Portal

Log In Now!

Welcome to the Messalonskee School District’s Parent Portal. This portal will allow you to access up to date information regarding you child’s grades and attendance information. Grades will be updated on Friday afternoon of each week. You may see changes throughout the week as teachers update their grades, but if you want to make sure that all grades are completed then you need to check on Friday evening. Teachers will often have work due just prior to the weekend so that they can correct the papers or projects over a few days. For this reason, you should not expect to see assignments that are turned in on Friday in the update. Those assignments will be posted the following week. If you have questions then we would encourage you to click on Frequently Asked Questions to see if an answer is posted already.

Parent Portal Information

When you enter the portal you will see information on your child’s grades. Any number or name that is in color is a link to more information. There are buttons at the top of the page to assist you in navigating the site.

Grades & Attendance button

Grades and Attendance will open automatically and will show you all of the grades and attendance information on your child. Clicking on a grade will bring up a list of assignments in the class with individual grades for each assignment. Clicking on the number of Absences will give you a list of dates your child has been absent and will show you a code so that you can see if the absence was excused or not. A table of codes is at the bottom of this page.

Grade History Button

The Grades History button will give you a list of grades for past terms. This will be empty until the end of the first quarter.

Email Button

Email Notification will allow you to schedule an email to any account you list. The information you can send to yourself consists of grades, assignments and attendance.

Teacher Comment Button

Teacher comments is another area where teachers can communicate with you regarding your child’s progress in the class. These have traditionally been updated 2 times each quarter but teachers will be able to update these at any time as a means of communication with you.

If you have questions regarding assignments, grades or codes that are not on the code table, then please contact that teacher either through email or by phone. If you run into any other issues then please call the front office of your child’s school.
