General Network Information

This is a reminder that some maintenance will be necessary on the school computers throughout the school year. The Tech Team updates/replaces the computers in each building when necessary, so it is important that every staff member follows the district policy and saves files to the server in each building. To ensure that you do not lose important files, please make sure that you have removed any files you may need in the future from the computer in your room. This includes personal as well as professional data (the Integration staff in your building can assist you with this process).

FYI, the computers belong to the school district, and the Tech Team is responsible for all moves and updated to the equipment in your room. Please do not move any equipment, as the district database must be kept current for Auditing Purposes.

Due to Vacation work, you may not have the same computer when you return from the break, so make sure to save your files to the server. This includes your FAVORITES in Internet Explorer. See the How To's on the IT Website.

Remember, all data (on the computers, file servers, email, webpages...) are considered public information, and can be accessed at any time by the network administrator if necessary. Strict adherence to the AUP is required at all times.

Please make sure to check your files on the server. The Public directories are shared folders, and multiple users have access and can read/add to/delete your files. Your home directory is only accessible by you and the network administrator. If you have files you no longer need on the servers, please delete them, as space is limited.

Please report any technical issues about your equipment to the Tech Team before you leave for Breaks. In order to resolve issues in a timely manner, do not send requests to individual Team members.

If you still have any computer software in your classroom, please make sure to turn it in to the Tech Team before Summer Vacation so we can update the software inventory.

For further clarification, please read the Staff Acceptable Use Policy. If you have questions, please contact the Integration Staff in your building.

If you have technical questions, please contact the Tech Team.

Thank you for your cooperation.
